# User Roles

> Manage permissions - admins, managers, members, and disabled users.

Control what each team member can do in Doozy by assigning the appropriate role.

## 👥 Role Types

| Role         | What They Can Do                                                                |
| ------------ | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Admin**    | Full access - billing, integrations, users, all activities, and tracks          |
| **Manager**  | Schedule activities and create tracks (no billing/integrations/user management) |
| **Member**   | Participate in activities, schedule quizzes/surveys/trivia/icebreakers          |
| **Disabled** | Cannot participate in activities and are not billed                             |

## ⚙️ Changing a User's Role

1. Go to [doozy.live/app](https://doozy.live/app) and sign in
2. Navigate to **Settings** → **Members**
3. Find the team member
4. Use the dropdown to select their role
5. Changes save automatically

## 🎯 Common Scenarios

| Scenario                          | Recommended Role                         |
| --------------------------------- | ---------------------------------------- |
| **HR or People Ops lead**         | Admin                                    |
| **Team lead managing onboarding** | Manager                                  |
| **Regular employee**              | Member                                   |
| **Contractor or external user**   | Member (or Disabled if no access needed) |
| **Left the company**              | Disabled                                 |

## ❓ FAQ

  <Accordion title="What happens when I disable a user?">
    They lose access to all Doozy activities and are removed from billing. Their historical data (shoutouts, quiz results, etc.) is retained.

  <Accordion title="Can I have multiple admins?">
    Yes - you can have as many admins as needed. All admins have equal permissions.

  <Accordion title="Can members schedule activities?">
    Members can schedule some activities (quizzes, surveys, trivia, icebreakers). For full scheduling access, promote them to Manager.
