# Celebrations

> Celebrate birthdays, work anniversaries, and special moments with your team in Slack.

Recognize important moments within your team - birthdays, work anniversaries, and shoutouts. Doozy posts celebratory messages in Slack and lets your team sign personalized birthday and anniversary cards with GIFs, images, and videos.

## 🎉 Celebration Types

## 📋 How It Works

### Automated Celebrations (Birthdays & Anniversaries)

1. **Set up once** → Choose channel, message, and timing
2. **Dates sync automatically** → From your HRIS or added manually
3. **Doozy posts on the day** → Celebratory message appears in your chosen channel
4. **Team can sign cards** → Add personalized messages, GIFs, and videos

### Manager Notifications

Managers can opt to receive a heads-up one week before a team member's celebration. This gives time to:

* Plan any additional recognition
* Ensure nothing slips through the cracks

## 📅 Where Dates Come From

## 🎁 Being Celebrated

When it's your turn to be celebrated:

1. **You're notified** in the channel where celebrations are running
2. **Open your card** to see messages from colleagues
3. **Share externally** using the unique card link - post on LinkedIn or share with friends and family!
