# Shoutouts

> Recognize teammates with public kudos - quick, easy, and visible to the whole team.

Give kudos to colleagues for great work, helpfulness, or just being awesome. Shoutouts are posted publicly in a channel so the recognition is visible to everyone.

  Shoutouts are sent from Slack. Web app support is on the way. Owners can configure shoutout options, such as company values, under **Settings → Shoutouts** in the [Doozy dashboard](https://doozy.live).

## 🚀 Sending a Shoutout

### Option 1: Slash Command (Fastest)

1. Go to the channel where you want to post
2. Type `/doozy shoutout`
3. Write your message and **@mention** the person you're celebrating
4. Send - your shoutout is posted instantly!

### Option 2: From Doozy Home

1. Open **Doozy** from your Slack sidebar
2. Select **Shoutouts**
3. Write your message and @mention the recipient(s)
4. Choose which channel to post in
5. Click **Post**

<Tip>To post in a private channel, first invite Doozy by typing `/invite @doozy` in that channel.</Tip>

## 👀 Viewing Your Shoutouts

See all the shoutouts you've received:

1. Open **Doozy** from your Slack sidebar
2. Select **Shoutouts**
3. View your shoutout history - who sent them and when

### Export Shoutouts

Click **Download CSV** to export a record of all your shoutouts.
