# How to Connect ADP Workforce Now

> Learn how to connect your ADP Workforce Now account to Doozy

## Overview

This guide will walk you through connecting your ADP Workforce Now account to Doozy to sync employee data using a practitioner role.

## Prerequisites

Before you begin, ensure you have:

* Administrator access to your company's ADP instance
* ADP Workforce Now (not ADP Workforce Now Canada)

## Steps

### Step 1: Create a Profile with Access to Reports

1. In ADP Workforce Now, go to **Setup** and find **Access Permissions**
2. Click **Manage Profiles** → **Create Profile**
3. Enter any value for **Name**, but set the **Role** to **Practitioner**

### Step 2: Configure Report Permissions

In **Menus & Features**, go to **Reports & Analytics** and enable the following:

**Required:**

* **My Reports**: All Reports, My Standard Reports
* **View**: Reports Output, Reports Scheduled
* **Reports Dashboard**: Reports Dashboard
* **Standard Reports**: All Reports, Personal & Employment

**Optional (based on your needs):**

* Benefits (for Benefits data)
* Pay Statement History (for Pay data)
* Time Off (for Time Off data)

### Step 3: Configure People Permissions

In **People**, enable the following:

**Required:**

* Employee Profile Report
* Employment Profile
* Personal Profile
* Pay (if you need Payroll data)

For Time Off, Time and Attendance, Payroll, or Benefits data, click **SELECT ALL** in the top left.

### Step 4: Configure Sensitive Information (Optional)

In **Sensitive Personal Information**:

1. Go to **On Screen & Reports** and **On Reports**
2. Select **No Masking**, **Partial Masking**, or **Masking** based on your preferences

<Note>Rates masking must be set to No Masking for employment effective dates to sync.</Note>

### Step 5: Activate the Profile

On the **Status & Save** screen, activate the profile and save it.

### Step 6: Create a Service Account User

1. From **Setup**, select **Security Management**
2. Click **People** → **Manage Users** → **+** to add a user
3. Fill in the required fields using the values from the linking flow
4. Set **User Type** to "user is an independent contractor..."
5. Set **User Role** to "Product User"

### Step 7: Assign the Service Profile

1. In Step 2 "Services", select **WFNPractitioner** from Available Service Profiles
2. Move it to Selected Service Profiles
3. Proceed through Step 3 and confirm the new user

### Step 8: Connect User to Profile

1. Go back to **Access Permissions** → **Manage People**
2. Search for the service account user
3. Click the user and select **Manage Profile Memberships**
4. Add the Service Account Profile you created
5. In **People Access**, enable **View Only Access** to all People

## Enter Credentials into Doozy

<Note>You must be a workspace admin to connect an HRIS integration.</Note>

1. Navigate to [Workspace Settings](https://doozy.live/app/settings/workspace)
2. Click **Integrations** in the sidebar
3. Select **HRIS**
4. Choose **ADP Workforce Now** from the list of providers
5. Follow the prompts to authenticate with your service account
6. Click **Connect** to complete the integration

## Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues authenticating, delete the created user and restart the process from Step 6. ADP often has issues when updating prior service user information.
