# HiBob

> Connect HiBob to Doozy via Merge.

## Overview

To authenticate HiBob using a Service Account, you will need to provide the following information:

* **Service Account User ID**
* **Service Account Token**

## Prerequisites

* You have Administrator permissions in your company's HiBob instance

## Step 1: Create the Service User in Your HiBob Account

  <Step title="Click 'Create service user'." />

  <Step title="Enter any Display name and click 'Create'." />

    Make a note of both the **ID** and the **Token**, then click 'Go to permission groups' to proceed with the next step.
    <Warning>The Token is only shown once. Make sure to save it securely.</Warning>

## Step 2: Create a Permission Group

  <Step title="Enter any Group name, select your new service user under 'Select service users', and click 'Create'." />

  <Step title="When asked to confirm the changes, click 'Confirm'." />

    Click 'Edit permissions' in the top right corner. Under 'Whose data can members access?', pick 'Select people by condition', then click 'Edit'.

  <Step title="In the 'Select people by condition' pop-up, select all relevant Lifecycle Statuses.">
    In most scenarios this will include: **Hired**, **Employed**, and **Terminated**. Click 'Apply' twice when done.

    For each permission category below, select **View selected employees' \[Permission] sections** and **View selected employees' \[Permission] section histories**.

### Required Permissions for Doozy

### Optional Permissions

<Note>If you want Date of Birth for birthday celebrations, you must include both **View** and **Edit** access for 'People > Personal'. Doozy will NOT edit any employee sections.</Note>

## Enter Credentials into Doozy

<Note>You must be a **Doozy admin** to connect an HRIS integration.</Note>

  <Step title="Go to the Doozy web app.">Navigate to [Workspace Settings](https://doozy.live/app/settings/workspace) → **Integrations** → **HRIS**.</Step>

  <Step title="Service User Token: Enter the Token from Step 1." />

  <Step title="Click Submit." />

## Notes

* HiBob allows moving fields into categories other than those listed above. If some fields are missing after linking, view a sample employee in HiBob and confirm under which category the missing field can be found. Then add View permissions for that category.
