# Paylocity

> Connect Paylocity to Doozy via Merge.

## Overview

To connect Paylocity, you will need to provide the following information:

* **Client ID**
* **Client Secret**
* **Company ID**

## Prerequisites

Before you can connect, you must request API access from Paylocity.

## Step 1: Request API Access from Paylocity

  <Step title="Fill out the form:">
    * **Client Contact Information**: Your company's information (e.g., HR personnel)
    * **Vendor / Third-Party Contact Information**: The company you are connecting to
    * **Use case description**: "We are using Merge to connect"
    * **Permissions**: Select "Get Employee" (required). Only select additional endpoints if needed.

## Step 2: Find Your Company ID

Your Company ID is the ID you use to log in to Paylocity. It appears in the upper left-hand corner of your Paylocity portal.

<Note>If your Company ID includes "CS", only enter the number that follows. In all other cases, enter the ID exactly as it appears (values are case-sensitive).</Note>

## Enter Credentials into Doozy

<Note>You must be a **Doozy admin** to connect an HRIS integration.</Note>

  <Step title="Go to the Doozy web app.">Navigate to [Workspace Settings](https://doozy.live/app/settings/workspace) → **Integrations** → **HRIS**.</Step>

  <Step title="Choose Paylocity as the HRIS you want to connect." />

  <Step title="Client ID: Enter the Client ID from Paylocity." />

  <Step title="Client Secret: Enter the Client Secret from Paylocity." />

  <Step title="Company ID: Enter your Paylocity Company ID." />

  <Step title="Optional Company IDs: If linking multiple companies, enter additional IDs separated by commas (no spaces). Otherwise, enter 'None'." />

  <Step title="Click Submit." />

## Notes

* When providing optional companies, the same person may be employed by more than one company. In these cases, you would see the same employee multiple times (once for each company).
