# How to Connect UKG Ready

> Learn how to connect your UKG Ready account to Doozy

## Overview

This guide will walk you through connecting your UKG Ready account to Doozy to sync employee data.

## Prerequisites

Before you begin, ensure you have:

* Administrator access to your company's UKG Ready instance

## Credentials Required

* **Domain** - Your UKG Ready login domain
* **Company Short Name**
* **API Key**
* **Service Account User ID**
* **Service Account Password**

## Steps

### Step 1: Identify Your Domain

Your domain is the base URL where you sign in to UKG Ready. For example, if you sign in at `acme.com/ta/Default.login`, your domain is `acme.com`.

### Step 2: Find Your Company Short Name

1. Log into UKG Ready and open the menu in the upper left
2. Click the **Settings icon** → **Global Setup** → **Company Setup**
3. Open **Company Info**
4. Scroll down to find **Company Short Name** under Company Address
5. Copy your Company Short Name

### Step 3: Find or Generate Your API Key

1. In Company Setup, go to **Login Config**
2. Scroll to find **API Keys** and click the eye icon to reveal the key
3. Copy the API Key and store it securely

<Warning>If there are existing integrations using this key, DO NOT click generate as it will invalidate the current key.</Warning>

### Step 4: Create a Security Profile

1. From the left menu, go to **Settings** → **Profiles/Policies** → **Security**
2. Click **NEW SECURITY PROFILE** in the upper right

Configure the following permissions based on your needs:

**HR Tab:**

* Employee Management, Base Remuneration → **View**
* Benefit Management (Plans) → **View**
* Cost Centres → **View**
* Total Compensation → **View**
* HR Custom Values → **View**
* Leave of Absence Management → **Manage Requests** (if applicable)

**Modules Tab (if applicable):**

* Rest API Resources: Select **Employee Demographics**, **Employee HR Custom Fields**, **Employee Profiles**, **Employee Pay Information**, **Employees**, **Employees (Changed)**, and **Employees (me)**

**Global Tab (if applicable):**

* Global Setup: Company Country/Legal Divisions, Cost Centre Definitions, Leave of Absence Custom Fields Definitions → **View**
* Object Lists: Company EINs, Cost Centers, Leave of Absence Categories, Pay Period Profile → **View**

**Payroll Tab (if applicable):**

* Payroll section: **Create/Edit Payroll** and **View/Edit/Add** next to payroll adjustment
* Select **Payroll Prep Process**

### Step 5: Create a Service Account

1. From **Settings** → **Global Setup** → **Company Setup**, go to **Edit Tabs**
2. From the Available Windows box, drag **Service Accounts** to the Top section and click **Save**
3. Click **Add Service Account** and configure:
   * Choose a **username** and **password**
   * Select the **Security Profile** you created
   * Click the magnifying glass for **Account Groups** and select **All Company Employees**

## Enter Credentials into Doozy

<Note>You must be a workspace admin to connect an HRIS integration.</Note>

1. Navigate to [Workspace Settings](https://doozy.live/app/settings/workspace)
2. Click **Integrations** in the sidebar
3. Select **HRIS**
4. Choose **UKG Ready** from the list of providers
5. Enter your **Domain**
6. Enter your **Company Short Name**
7. Enter your **API Key**
8. Enter your **Service Account User ID** and **Password**
9. Click **Connect** to complete the integration
