# Set up Doozy Roulette

> Schedule recurring random introductions between teammates.

Doozy Roulette automatically matches people for 1:1s or small group meetings on a recurring schedule. Great for building connections across teams.

## Setup

1. Go to [doozy.live/app](https://doozy.live/app) and open **Introductions**
2. Create a new introduction and set it up as a recurring **Doozy Roulette**
3. Configure the settings below
4. Click **Schedule** to launch it

## Configuration

### Participants

| Source              | Description                                  |
| ------------------- | -------------------------------------------- |
| **Channel members** | Everyone in a Slack channel                  |
| **Individuals**     | Specific people you select                   |
| **Groups**          | Team or department members *(HRIS required)* |
| **New hires**       | Recently joined employees *(HRIS required)*  |
| **Managers**        | People with direct reports *(HRIS required)* |

<Tip>Enable "Match with another group" to pair two different sets of users, e.g., new hires with tenured employees.</Tip>

### Matching Preferences

| Setting           | Options                                             |
| ----------------- | --------------------------------------------------- |
| **Group size**    | 2, 3, or 4 people per match                         |
| **Cross-team**    | Prioritize different teams *(HRIS required)*        |
| **Seniority**     | Match similar or different levels *(HRIS required)* |
| **Tenure**        | Match similar or different tenure *(HRIS required)* |
| **Location**      | Same or different locations *(HRIS required)*       |
| **Intro message** | Custom message sent with match notification         |

### Schedule

* **Frequency**: Weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly
* **Start date**: When to make the first matches

### Meeting

| Setting           | Description                                                                 |
| ----------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Duration**      | The default meeting length                                                  |
| **Location**      | Doozy room, Google Meet, Zoom, Teams, In Person, or Other                   |
| **Reminders**     | Nudge matches who haven't scheduled their meeting yet                       |
| **Auto-schedule** | Optionally have Doozy book the meeting automatically within a chosen window |

### Advanced

* **Notify channel**: Post matches publicly in the channel
* **Upcoming notification**: Alert users before matches are made (channel, DM, or none)
* **Allow opt-out**: Let users skip permanently
* **Exclude users**: Prevent specific people from being matched
