# Schedule a Custom Icebreaker

> Send your custom icebreaker to channels, teams, or individuals.

Once you've created a custom icebreaker, schedule it to go out to your team automatically.

## 🚀 Getting Started

1. Go to [doozy.live/app](https://doozy.live/app) and open **Icebreakers**
2. Create a new icebreaker activity
3. In the **Content** setting, choose **Custom template** and pick your icebreaker
4. Set the channel and schedule (see below)
5. Save to start posting

## 📍 Destination Options

| Destination                 | Description                                   |
| --------------------------- | --------------------------------------------- |
| **Post in a channel**       | Icebreaker appears publicly in the channel    |
| **Send to channel members** | Each channel member receives a private DM     |
| **Send to individual(s)**   | Specific people you select receive a DM       |
| **Send to team(s)**         | All members of a department/team receive a DM |

<Tip>To post in a private channel, first invite Doozy by typing `/invite @doozy` in that channel.</Tip>

## ⏰ Scheduling Options

| Option        | Description                                |
| ------------- | ------------------------------------------ |
| **Now**       | Send immediately                           |
| **Scheduled** | Pick a specific date and time              |
| **Recurring** | Repeat on a schedule (daily, weekly, etc.) |

| **Team bonding**           | Post to team channel weekly             |
| **New hire welcome**       | Send to individual on their first day   |
