Use First day to enroll new hires automatically in a per-person track.

When it starts

With an HR system connected, Doozy waits until both the person’s start date has arrived and they’ve joined Slack. Without an HR system, joining Slack starts the track. That enrollment starts at Day 1. Someone who joins Slack late doesn’t receive a backlog for the days they missed.

Set it up

  1. Create a per-person track and choose First day.
  2. Check where Doozy gets start dates. The picker shows First day with an HR system, or Added to Slack without one.
  3. Add filters if only some new hires should enter.
  4. Add steps, finish the builder and activate the track.
The trigger panel shows people whose start date has arrived but who haven’t joined Slack. Their enrollment waits for their Slack connection. Step times use the enrolled person’s time zone and the track’s working days. See Timing.

Before the first day

If preboarding is enabled, add steps before Day 1 to reach new hires at their personal email address. Slack onboarding still waits for their start date and Slack connection. Only supported step types and recipients are available before Day 1.
