Getting Started

To set up a Work Anniversary trigger:
  1. Navigate to Tracks in your Doozy Slack App
  2. Click Create Track
  3. Select Work Anniversary as your trigger type
  4. Set up any department or role-based filters
  5. Create your track content (surveys, training links, reminders)
  6. Save and activate your track

Configuration Options

When setting up a Work Anniversary trigger, you have several configuration options to customize when and how the trigger activates:

Trigger Frequency

Choose how often the work anniversary should be recognized:
  • Annually - Triggers every year on the anniversary date
  • Every 3 months - Triggers quarterly after the start date
  • Every 6 months - Triggers twice per year
  • Every 12 months - Same as annually, triggers once per year
For example, if an employee’s start date is July 1, 2023:
  • 3-month intervals: Will trigger on October 1, 2023, January 1, 2024, April 1, 2024, etc.
  • 6-month intervals: Will trigger on January 1, 2024, July 1, 2024, January 1, 2025, etc.
  • Annual: Will trigger on July 1, 2024, July 1, 2025, etc.

Trigger Timing (Optional)

Customize when the trigger activates relative to the anniversary date. You can specify timing in days, weeks, or months: Examples:
  • On the anniversary date - Triggers exactly on the milestone date (default)
  • 3 days before - Triggers 3 days before the anniversary
  • 1 week before - Triggers 7 days before the anniversary
  • 2 weeks before - Triggers 14 days before the anniversary
  • 1 month before - Triggers 30 days before the anniversary
  • 1 week after - Triggers 7 days after the anniversary
  • 2 months after - Triggers 60 days after the anniversary
You can enter any combination using days, weeks, or months (e.g., “10 days before”, “3 weeks after”, “2 months before”). This flexibility is useful for preparation time or follow-up activities. Leave blank to trigger exactly on the milestone date.

Number of Triggers (Optional)

Limit how many times this trigger will activate for each employee:
  • Enter a number (e.g., 3) to limit the trigger to only fire that many times
  • This will trigger on the user’s 1st, 2nd, and 3rd anniversaries only
  • Leave blank for unlimited triggers (recommended for ongoing processes)

Advanced Filters

Use advanced filters to target specific groups of employees:
  • Department filters - Target specific departments
  • Manager filters - Target managers or individual contributors
Connect your HRIS (like Workday, BambooHR, or Personio) to ensure you have accurate work anniversary dates and employee data.
