Getting Started

To set up a Schedule trigger:
  1. Go to doozy.live/app and open Tracks
  2. Create a new track
  3. Select Schedule as your trigger type
  4. Choose your frequency and timing
  5. Select your user source (channels, departments, etc.)
  6. Configure any advanced filters
  7. Set up your track content and steps
  8. Save and activate your track
The Schedule trigger is your foundation for creating systematic learning and development programs that maximize knowledge retention.

One-off schedules

Set the frequency to once to schedule one run at the configured start date and time. The read-only next_run_at field contains the next scheduled run time. It is null when no future run is scheduled, including for draft or paused tracks and after Doozy finishes processing a one-off schedule. Updating other track fields does not schedule another run. To schedule another run, change the start date, time, or time zone.

Advanced Filtering

Combine Schedule triggers with advanced filters for targeted learning:

By Manager Status

  • Managers: Leadership development, team management training
  • Individual Contributors: Skills development, role-specific training

By Department

  • Engineering: Technical skills, development practices
  • Sales: Product knowledge, sales methodology
  • HR: Compliance training, people management

Configuration Tips

  1. Test Your Setup: Start with a small group to validate timing and content flow
  2. Monitor Engagement: Track which content types and timing work best for your team
  3. Adjust Based on Feedback: Regularly review and refine your approach
  4. Document Your Strategy: Keep track of what works for future programs
  5. Consider Time Zones: Ensure content arrives at appropriate times for all team members
Connect your HRIS (like Workday, BambooHR, or Personio) to ensure you have the most accurate department and user data for targeting your scheduled tracks.
