A broadcast track runs once for an audience on a shared schedule. Each step can go to a different channel, group or set of people. For example, post a policy update in a channel on Monday, send a quiz to the department on Wednesday, then collect feedback on Friday. Repeat the track when the next update is ready, or set a recurring schedule.

Choose recipients for each step

Broadcasts support Message, Quiz, Survey, Poll and Webhook steps. Steps that need an enrolled person, such as Tasks or Mentor Assignment, use a per-person track.

Send a manual broadcast

Choose Manual as the trigger, then:
  1. Open the track and select Send.
  2. Choose Now or Later. For a later send, set the date, time and time zone.
  3. Review when each step will send. Adjust any times marked Passed or Before start.
  4. Select Send track or Schedule send.
You don’t need to activate a manual broadcast separately. After sending, use Send again to create another run. A scheduled send shows Reschedule instead.

Run on a schedule

Choose Scheduled as the trigger. Set the frequency, start time and track time zone, then select Activate track. Each occurrence creates a new run. All steps use the track’s time zone and working days. See Timing.

Stop future sends

Open the track’s menu and choose:
  • Cancel scheduled send to cancel a pending manual send.
  • Turn off schedule to stop new recurring runs. Runs already in progress finish.
  • Archive to cancel active runs as well.

Follow each run

Open Runs to check step delivery and errors. A delivered step means the activity was sent; use its quiz or survey results to see how people responded. Cohort tracks can also broadcast when a cohort starts. Those runs use the cohort’s time zone.
