Overview

To connect Paylocity, you will need to provide the following information:
  • Client ID
  • Client Secret
  • Company ID

Prerequisites

Before you can connect, you must request API access from Paylocity.
There may be a cost associated with API setup from Paylocity.

Step 1: Request API Access from Paylocity

Download the Paylocity Web Services Access Request Form.

Fill out the form:

  • Client Contact Information: Your company’s information (e.g., HR personnel)
  • Vendor / Third-Party Contact Information: The company you are connecting to
  • Use case description: “We are using Merge to connect”
  • Permissions: Select “Get Employee” (required). Only select additional endpoints if needed.

Email the form to webservices@paylocity.com.

Use subject line: “Requesting Client ID and Client Secret”

Paylocity will provide your Client ID and Client Secret.

Step 2: Find Your Company ID

Your Company ID is the ID you use to log in to Paylocity. It appears in the upper left-hand corner of your Paylocity portal.
If your Company ID includes “CS”, only enter the number that follows. In all other cases, enter the ID exactly as it appears (values are case-sensitive).

Enter Credentials into Doozy

You must be a Doozy admin to connect an HRIS integration.

Go to the Doozy web app.

Navigate to Workspace SettingsIntegrationsHRIS.

Choose Paylocity as the HRIS you want to connect.

Client ID: Enter the Client ID from Paylocity.

Client Secret: Enter the Client Secret from Paylocity.

Company ID: Enter your Paylocity Company ID.

Optional Company IDs: If linking multiple companies, enter additional IDs separated by commas (no spaces). Otherwise, enter 'None'.

Click Submit.

Notes

  • When providing optional companies, the same person may be employed by more than one company. In these cases, you would see the same employee multiple times (once for each company).
