Overview

This guide will walk you through connecting your UKG Pro Workforce Management (formerly UKG Dimensions) account to Doozy to sync employee data.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, ensure you have:
  • Administrator access to your company’s UKG Pro WFM instance

Credentials Required

  • Client ID - Provided when your tenant was provisioned
  • Client Secret - Provided when your tenant was provisioned
  • Username - API user credentials
  • Password - API user credentials
  • Subdomain - Your UKG Pro WFM subdomain
If you don’t have access to your Client ID or Client Secret, contact UKG Global Support for assistance.

Steps

Step 1: Create an API User

  1. Identify an existing admin user who has access to all employees and locations
  2. Go to Menu → Maintenance → People Information
  3. Duplicate the user account by selecting the person and going to Person → Duplicate
  4. In the new profile:
    • Select Edit Licenses and confirm at least a Manager license is selected
    • Under the Information section:
      • Set the Last Name to APIUser
      • Set the ID to APIUser (or another unused user ID)
      • Assign a new Username (e.g., APIUser)
      • Set the Authentication Type to Basic
      • Assign and confirm a password
      • Check API Only User (this ensures the password does not expire)
  5. Under the Access Profiles section:
    • Set Function Access Profile and Display Profile to Super Access (or configure more restrictive access if needed)

Step 2: Create a Function Access Profile (if needed)

If you didn’t copy the function access profile from an existing user:
  1. Log into WFM with an administrative account
  2. Navigate to Administration → Application Setup
  3. Expand Access Profiles and click Function Access Profiles
  4. Click New
  5. Configure the profile:
    • Enter a Name (e.g., the name of the application you’re connecting)
    • Set the function access profile to Super Admin access
  6. Click Save & Return
  7. Assign this function access profile to your API user

Step 3: Identify Your Subdomain

Your subdomain is part of your UKG Pro WFM URL. For example, if your URL is merge.prd.mykronos.com, your subdomain is merge.prd.
Remove -sso from the URL if present. For example, if your URL is merge-sso.prd.mykronos.com, enter merge.prd instead.

Enter Credentials into Doozy

You must be a workspace admin to connect an HRIS integration.
  1. Navigate to Workspace Settings
  2. Click Integrations in the sidebar
  3. Select HRIS
  4. Choose UKG Pro Workforce Management from the list of providers
  5. Enter your Username and Password
  6. Enter your Client ID and Client Secret
  7. Enter your Subdomain
  8. Click Connect to complete the integration
